Winner, MCM Midlands Expo Cosplay Masquerade 2013.

Now both Shepard and Ashley are finished, it was about time we did a shoot of both costumes together. This was taken against a white background, then edited into the trailer imagery.

Taken with Canon 60D

Hehe, yep! Took us a couple of attempts to get the perfect shape and size, as well as a lot of studying the in game models. But we really wanted them accurate. Well spotted. :)

Having done three suits now, loads of tips. :)

Draw your own patterns - we did originally download the set that are floating on the net, but nothing looked quite right and it didn't fit anyway. This way it'll be the right size on you.

Buy loads of scalpel blades - foam eats scalpels, and you need nice clean cuts.

Use superglue - hot glue, impact glue weren't any good, but it does mean you have to be accurate.

Spray paint the whole thing - you'll get a lovely metallic finish. But you will have to cover everything in about 8 coats of PVA first to seal it. Do that, then primer, two coats of colour and one of clear lacquer.
